KIC Shares Stakeholder Mapping Expertise at PLN’s Workshop

Katadata Insight Center (KIC) was invited by PT PLN to speak at its National Stakeholder Management Workshop, held on 19 March 2025 in Surabaya. Represented by Fakhridho Susilo (Executive Director) and Abhinaya Putri (Analyst), KIC shared practical insights and methodologies on stakeholder mapping and analysis.

The workshop gathered around 100 stakeholder management officers from PLN units across Indonesia. It aimed to strengthen their capabilities in identifying, engaging, and managing a diverse range of stakeholders at both local and national levels.

During the session, KIC introduced core concepts of stakeholder analysis, including how to assess power dynamics, influence, and stakeholder interests. Participants explored various tools and frameworks for mapping key issues and actors, supported by real-world case studies to illustrate their practical application.

The interactive format allowed participants to reflect on their everyday challenges in stakeholder engagement. Many found the frameworks adaptable to their regional contexts, highlighting the importance of structured yet flexible approaches.

This collaboration reinforces KIC’s commitment to advancing evidence-based policymaking and capacity building. Strengthening stakeholder engagement is a key pillar for achieving more inclusive and sustainable development—especially as Indonesia navigates its energy transition and infrastructure agenda.
